Award-Winning Filmmaker | Storyteller with Grit, Humor, and Heart
Ralph Murphy’s path to filmmaking wasn’t traditional—it was lived. The youngest of five and son of a NYC firefighter, he patrolled one of Brooklyn’s toughest precincts as an NYPD officer and served as a World Trade Center first responder. That experience—and a 15-year side career in stand-up comedy—shaped his deep appreciation for life and story.
“I love working the stage—there’s nothing like the unpredictable energy of a live audience,” he says. Love, not loved, because the stage is bound to call him back. He’s performed for troops with the USO and appeared on national TV via The View, but over time, his focus turned to something more permanent: film.
“Laughter is temporary. Film is forever.” That became his north star.
Ralph trained at the Hollywood Film Institute and launched 1013 Films, a boutique production company built on trust, grit, and heartfelt storytelling. His latest project, Arif and the Sarus, won Best Short Documentary at both the Hollywood Gold Awards and the London Movie Awards in 2025.
From the streets to the stage to the screen, Ralph brings a filmmaker’s eye—and a survivor’s heart—to every frame.
JAMES MURPHY

James finished in the top of his class and set out on his journey to be a neuro surgeon, during his 2nd year of pre-med while working out he incurred a traumatic head injury which forced him to take a year off from school. During his rehab time, having always been a savant artist and musician he went back to his roots as an artist using his skill as a way to relax during his recovery. He quickly realized what his true gift(s) were and began honing his craft as skilled artist and master at drawing and animating the human figure in action. It wasn't long before people in his field took notice of him, including DREAMWORK pictures who hired him as a consultant and instructor to their in house animators in Los Angeles. James is currently an influencer with tens of thousands of followers where he does online tutorials under the name " Modern Day James". James currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Edwardo Gray

Edwardo Gray is a seasoned professional in the film industry with expertise in the camera and electrical department, second unit directing, and transportation coordination. With over 10 years of experience, he has successfully operated and maintained film and lighting equipment, worked closely with directors and cinematographers, and ensured efficient transportation logistics for crew, cast, and equipment. Edwardo has also directed and filmed over 300 cooking shows for the popular online food channel showcasing his directing and filming skills. With strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities, Edwardo thrives under pressure and consistently meets tight deadlines.
HENRY TORBIN
Sound Design | Editor |VFX Artist
As a skilled sound engineer, Henry has worked on dozens of feature films, including industrial projects , short films and more. He has proven himself time and time again under trying conditions. In addition to being a trained sound designer, he is also an editor and VFX artist and is an essential part of our team. Henry currently lives in NYC with his wife and two beautiful children.
